What is INDIGO HAIR DYE?
Indigo is a plant that produces a dark blue dye which we all know as the color used to color blue jeans. Indigo hair dye turns hair brown through to black when it is applied after henna. Even 100% grey hair goes brown or black when indigo is applied to hair after henna.

HOW TO USE:
Indigo hair powder and henna should be mixed in a specific quantity to achieve your desired color. Mixing henna and indigo according to your required color is a hectic job!

U&M INIDGO MEHENDI is a perfectly mixed pack of INDIGO HAIR DYE and HENNA ( mehndi ) that gives your hair a beautiful dark brown color.
INSTRUCTIONS:
First, when using any new hair product it is always recommended that you do hair strand tests first, or a skin patch test. Even natural products can cause allergic reactions. Test before use, always.
Important: Please keep in mind that everyone has their own unique hair texture and hair type. Indigo Mehndi can be drying for some, and it is recommended that you use one of our hair oils after use for best results. You can also deep condition 5-7 days after your color has settled.
Before you start, know the total amount of powder you should use:
- Above ear length: 50-75 grams
- Shoulder length: 100-125 grams
- Mid-back: 150-175 grams
- Lower back (above hips): 200 to 225 grams
- Hip/Waist length: 250 to 300 grams
STEPS TO FOLLOW:
- Mix U&M INDIGO MEHNDI in a bowl using water ( Luke warm never boiling) , green tea or normal tea liquid (qehwa). Add enough water to make the paste the consistency of pancake batter.
- Give the paste a rest of half hour to release its color.
- Make sure to wash your hair before applying with shampoo as no oil should be present on your hair.
- Apply the indigo paste to your hair by sections (on dry or damp strands) starting from the front and moving towards the back.
- Wrap your hair and allow to dye your hair 3-4 hours
- Gently rinse the paste out with water only.
- You can use a light leave in (moisturize), dry and style as usual
- Your hair’s color will settle over the next 2-3 days
- Repeat the process the next day or after one day again.
